Pugilist
Saturn
Artikal Music UK
Melbourne's own Pugilist makes a spectacular return to the Artikal Music imprint with a belter of a 3 tracker, showcasing everything his sound is about. The title track "Saturn" is a dubwise experiment, focussing on smooth subs and epic delays. The next track "Solaris" follows on a similar vibe, bringing more percussive elements into the mix along with more rapid fire drum arrangements. We round up with the amphibious vibes "Outback" which utilizes didgeridoos and rumbling bass tones to create a swampy atmosphere from the off.
Caspa
Gutter Riddim/Hot Head
Sentry
The stars have aligned on this one: Youngsta's impeccable Sentry imprint has meant the business since it launched last year with dBridge and it's got hotter ever since. Now battered and bruised by two Caspa workouts, the message is even louder. "Gutter Riddim" is a powerful groaner with warped bass and slight trap elements in the rolling drums while "Hot Head" plays with our senses with a vicious angular drop that suddenly explodes into the wobble fest of your (wet) dreams. Stinking.
Mr.K
Baka
Wheel & Deal UK
We were very excited to see Mr. K making a full solo return to the legendary Wheel & Deal imprint for a highly anticipated four tracker. We kick off with the title track 'Baka' which is a groovy dubwise hybrid, bringing smooth oscillations and dubby drums into unison. Following this we have the epic swinging bass synths of 'IP13' and the ludicrously powerful sub shaking sounds of 'Dafuq'. The EP then rounds of perfectly with Mr. K's swampy redesign of AxH's 'Devil Shogun'.
Various Artists
Iron Shirt Vol 3 - Remixes
Iron Shirt Recordings
As one of the leading forces in New Zealand's currently thriving underground bass scene, we have seen Iron Shirt Recordings lay down some phenomenal releases since their establishment in 2011. With this latest release we see them delve into a selection of high quality remixes, reworking previously celebrated in-house releases. The reesy landscapes that lay within Digital Monk's rework of 'No Mercy' and the chilling dungeon design of Vael21's recreation of 'Cacoethes' really announce themselves as instant dubstep winners. As well as this, the splendid Kikola and Photes halftime overhaul of 'Presence Known' definitely deserves a mention.
Indiji
Original Pressing/Dubwise 07
Uprise Audio
As a label, Uprise Audio have a certified name amongst the dubstep greats, having continuously supplied the scene with heavyweight underground flavour. As Indiji steps forward for this powerhouse three tracker that trend follows suit. We kick off with the earthy sub rolls and unpredictable percussive patterns of 'Original Pressing' which is an instant favourite. On the flip side we are treated to another serving of dubstyle goodness by way of 'Dubwise 07'. This one is one for the steppers, as delicious bass drones roll out alongside a shower of reverberated snares and percussion.
Repulsion
Repulsion
EXCLUSIVE
Subquake Audio
Subquake Audio make a great return to releasing with this one as they team up with the industrial sounds of Repulsion for a sub heavy three track project. We kick off with the spacious bass design and industrial percussion of 'Leftfield' which as a composition renders itself highly original. From here we move into the bitcrushed soundscapes and glitchy rhythmic displays of 'Spaced' which continues the super original theme. Finally we round up with 'Haywire' which is a super swingy expedition into deep dubstep ideals, focussing on haunting atmospherics and grinding subs frequencies in ideal balance.
Ternion Sound
Mataafa
Dank N Dirty Dubz
Ternion Sound make an impactful return on the Dank N Dirty Dubz imprint with this industrious arrangement entitled 'Mataafa'. From a production perspective it's a masterpiece, harnessing metallic distortion with powerful precision. The lead synths take the roll of sirens, wailing above a bed crunchy bass synthesisers and intricately reverberated percussive lines. Very tasty!
Demicat
Levitation
Daily Earfood
Straight out of Seoul, Korea, we are super happy to present you with this beautiful future soul track entitled 'Levitation'. Using a combination of trapstyle drum samples and euphoric leads packing an emotional punch. The young producer certainly has a busy year ahead of him if he keeps up this level of momentum

Caspa
Deja Vu
Sub Soldiers
Remember Caspa & Rusko? Two of the main instigators of the entire dubstep sound? Well, the former's back after a lengthy session MIA, and it sounds like he hasn't changed a bit since the golden days back in 05-08. That's not to say that this year isn't fresh - it's amazing - but we mean that it's the illest, most purest form of the genre that you're gonna get nowadays. Granted, "Deja Vu" does mess up the beats considerably, and there is something unheard about it, but that wobbling cascade of bass is vey much of the vintage sort - all greezy and up for causing a ruckus! Yes, Caspa!

33 Degrees
Sub Soldiers
Caspa's Vibrations series continues to reverberate the dance with its seasonal one-track scud dispatches. Following crucial jams such as "Get Higher" and "Umbongo" comes this almighty piece of bass theatre that's strident from its opening staccato strings. Marching into the bleak future with a bassline that opens up into swampy, noxious riff mid-way - and a cool scientific sample about all things solar - it's Caspa at his most forthright and stately. Feel the heat.

EP 2
Sub Soldiers
Some tasty, extra special treat this week from the likes of Caspa and Rusko - anthem alert, right here! There is no point introducing these two, given their invaluable contribution to the dubstep scene since its early days, but what we should say is that it feels like a special surprise to have them together again, ripping bars to pieces like they used to back in the day. "Riddem Again" is a fast, aggressive bass stepper that sound more like a grime offshoot than it does dubstep, and "Whiplash" carries the same sort of hybrid framework, except here the groove is comparatively more broken and guided by a swagger-ready injection of gunshot lyrics. "Cup Of Peace" sounds like an ode to the duo's dub/reggae roots, a slow, drunken kind of tune that sways from left to right with that inimitable Jamaican haze that has characterised much of the dubstep sound over the years. They're back and in business.
Caspa
500: Episode One
Dub Police
His rawest, heaviest work to date, "500: Episode 1" is the precursor to a huge North American tour for the Dub Police founder, and he's not lost any of the individuality that's set him apart from the start. Describing the release himself as "cinematic" and "emotional", this marks a change in the producer's style, where true depth is being weighed out over heaviness and hype. Painted against a post-apocalyptic landscape in sound as well as the stylish cover art, he's marked out a new beginning for himself. We want to hear more.
