DJ Polo
Limonata
More Time
Bass music from a UK funky perspective, courtesy of Bristol's DJ Polo - who has had previous releases on authority labels such as Roska Kicks & Snares and New York City's High End Times so go figure! On the dubbed-out late night anthem "1 Triple 0" prepare to get that lighter in the air, featuring the mad vocal skills of Grim Sickers, while "Limonata" is the instrumental version. More of the same on "Multiple Palm Tree Emojis" (featuring a bit of help from Lobby) and tropical vibes abound assisted by those sweltering polyrhythms on the absolutely heaving "Swervin".
Tom VR
Films
All My Thoughts
Tom Vr is a British producer and DJ who is also co-founder of the label Valby Rotary. His new album entitled 'Films' comes courtesy of Seb Wildblood's All My Thoughts - and its an impressive collection of tracks showcasing a variety of moods and grooves. From the liquid drum & bass of "Golden Memory" and the emotive late night deepness of "Feathers" or "You" and the lush ambient house of "Lampshade" (feat Louf) with its dusty and textured arrangement backed by some sublime breaks. Fellow UK producers Arthur Miles and Hobie have previously appeared on this label with impressive EPs and Tom's album is a worthy addition to this promising imprint's already impressive catalogue.

Take Me Away
EXCLUSIVE
Armada Music Holland
Swedish commercial house legend Stonebridge returns, revisiting his pop-inflected dancefloor bomb from 2004 "Take Me Away". The StoneBridge & Damien Hall 2018 mix is a great modern revision that has been optimised for modern dancefloors. This is followed up by the 2018 Remaster which is just as worthy of your attention: by comparison it is more uptempo and energetic but sounds just as good as it did 14 years ago. Eva Therese Grankvist's scorching vocals throughout are the icing on the cake.
Blutch
Last Dance With Lolea
Barbecue
Blutch has been quietly going about his business since 2014, delivering sporadic slices of Balearic goodness and, most recently, bespoke deep house warmth. This latest EP could well be his most obviously peak-time focused released yet, with swinging, jazz-flecked opener "Dropin' a Chrome" delivering a weighty and attractive mix of bumpin', boompty-influenced deep house beats, lilting trumpet motifs, hip-hop vocal samples and seriously heavy analogue sub-bass. The disco-fired "Last Dance" - all Loleatta Holloway vocal samples, woozy chords and sturdy beats - explores similar territory, while "Ezra Was Not Right" sounds like a morning-fresh collaboration between "Eple"-era Royksopp and swinging deep houser Mall Grab. There's also a tasty bonus in the shape of Red Rack'em's dreamy and swirling remix of "Dropin' a Chrome", which includes some subtle nods towards Pepe Bradock classic "Deep Burnt".
Art Of Tones
Gimme Some More
Monoside
Given Ludovic Llorca's vast experience and hugely impressive track record (not just as Art of Tones, but also under a variety of other aliases), we now expect each successive release to hit the mark. Predictably, this single-track salvo does just that. While rooted in warm, swinging, feel-good 1990s U.S deep house - a sound he has mined extensively in recent years - "Gimme Some More" also includes the kind of jazzy flourishes and toasty instrumentation that was first heard on his first F Communications release, "Can't Take It", way back in 1997. While that particular EP was packed with St Germain style deep jazz-house, "Gimme Some More" is a far more up-front affair, with sampled vocal refrains ratcheting up the track's shoulder-swinging dancefloor intensity.
Kreature
Wacomin
Underground Audio
Manchester based producer Kreature is up next for local imprint Underground Audio. Launched in June 2011, The Underground is an essential guide to all things underground in the world of electronic music. Across the EP's four tracks, you can expect tough, rolling main-room grooves with the peak time in mind - following in the tradition of Northern tech house heroes such as Audiojack, Lewis Boardman or Jey Kurmis. Beginning with the swing fuelled, strobe-lit stomp of "Wacomin" which then gets a drugged up and ravey remix by Raumakustik. Then prepare to travel deep into the exotic and esoteric on the woozy "Aya" until it all comes to a glorious close on the funky minimal house tool "One Catch".

Funky People
4 To The Floor
Defected sub label 4 To The Floor sure know a thing or two about schooling the new generation on important house classics - and this reissue may just be one of the most exciting yet. Funky People was the studio collaboration of Kevin Hedge / Joshua Milan (Blaze), Tee Alford, Allen Jeffrey and the inimitable Cassio Ware on vocals. This ensemble produced four of the early releases on the Funky People Records label. "Funky People" was originally released in 1995 and is considered a classic by many. It also came with a bunch of awesome remixes by some big heads of the scene and rest assured: they're all featured here. From the sexy Klubhead vocal, the classy lounged out deepness of the Knee Deep remix and last but not least: Masters At Work's storming rendition.
Kings Of Tomorrow
Witness Protection EP
4 To The Floor
New York house music royalty Sandy Rivera released the Witness Protection EP 20 years ago and this digital reissue commemorates the timeless classic. He has worked under a variety of pseudonyms over the years, including Soul Vision and Mysterious People in addition to running the BlackWiz imprint. Defected sublabel 4 To The Floor are dedicated to preserving the legacy of such underground anthems and are really on the money with this one. The classic Jersey garage swing of the Prosecution Mix follows the hypnotic darkroom dub of the Relocation Mix. The Jury and Defense mix (the latter almost an acapella of sorts) are handy DJ tools for the more experimental among you. While Rivera's output has slowed down in the last decade, many will no doubt remember how prolific he was up until the mid '00s when he released a steady stream of timeless vocal house anthems such as "Finally", "In The Night" and "Dreams".

I Want To Thank You (The MK Mixes)
4 To The Floor
With over 500 titles in his discography, there aren't many producers more prolific than Marc Kinchen. 4 To The Floor revisits this MK produced 1993 cover of classic Alicia Myers track "I Want To Thank You" featuring vocals from LaTrece B. Kinchen. This package contains four different mixes, all taking the track in a different direction. His his dub mix strips everything right back to the bare bones, using signature vocal cuts and heavy percussion to create a darker, club ready banger. The Downtown Mix is a disco is a disco tinged tribute to the Alicia Myers original and It's clear to see why this record went down as a Hacienda favourite. MK's 12" Mix focuses on that uplifting New York house sound that made this record such a big success. With an ability to take any piece of music and make it his own, his dub edits rarely fail to decimate any dancefloor.
Michelle Ayers
Respect
4 To The Floor
Defected sub-label for classic house anthem reissues returns, after great ones by legends Louie Vega and Mike Dunn. It's been over twenty years since the original release of "Respect" but this timeless track still sounds as contemporary as ever. Michelle Ayers' vocals soar gloriously above the track 'in a musical match made in heaven.' This time around there are a bunch of amazing remixes from house music legend David Morales. The fabulous original 12" version and dub are included, but it's all about the Def Mix main man's renditions: a timeless formula of uplifting house featuring that trademark house organ sound that's bound to get those hands up in the air. For added dancefloor dynamic, there's also a handy "Organmental" remix" which does exactly what it says on the tin.
Chicken Lips
He Not In
4 To The Floor
Although it's widely believed that electro-house evolved out of the electroclash phenomenon of the early Noughties, the truth is that the blueprint had already been established with the release of Chicken Lips' masterpiece "He Not In" back in 2000. The impact of this record by the rebranded pop-rave act, Bizarre inc, cannot be underestimated - with its 4/4 disco clap and melodic electro bassline, it influenced so many producers over the years. Many of who return the favour here with a host of remixes. Highlights include Groove Armada's hypnotic 'Dub Reconstruction" and Noir's "Personal Edit" (a staple of his live sets for years).
