Sol Selectas Records specializes in deep tribal dance music, incorporating folkloric sounds and ancient rhythms, bringing them into a future electronic realm of deep house. Label boss Sabo released his album entitled 'Vibe Quest' back in 2016 and it now makes a return in the form of this remix package: which is rather impressive and worthy of your attention. Highlights on here include German tech house hero Acid Pauli's Singing Sequencer remix of "Singing Game" which is a woozy mid-noughties style minimal groove that's suited perfectly for the after hours. Multi Culti boss man Thomas Von Party's esoteric acid remix of "Drop That" is perfect for the raindance! Elsewhere, Los Angeles power duo Nadastrom return with a brooding remix of the title track and the legendary Alexi Delano makes a surprising appearance: the Swedish NYC transplant provides a hypnotic techno rework of "Force 4 Movement" while another legend in the form of Miami's Oscar G (who teams up with Lazaro Casanova) with a jacking remix of "Afro Fuego"

French producer The Mekanism released his impressive "Breathe" EP earlier in 2017 for Seth Troxler's Play It Say It imprint and here come the remixes. They've tapped a bunch of heavy hitters for such duties - beginning with Parisian legends Chris Carrier & Dan Ghenacia who nail that sexy and slinky tech house sound from their home city on a remix of "Journey" that retains the sick acid of the original. The Visionquest affiliated Ryan Crosson hands in two remixes: firstly the Break remix of "Breath" going for an early '90s rave feel, then a beatless ambient version up next. French hooligans dOP surprisingly hand in something more serious than you'd usually expect from the bunch. The Circus Company affiliated trio give "Breath" an emotive acid house makeover reminiscent of early A Guy Called Gerald, which we were all over!

Oliver Koletzki / Various

Berlin native Oliver Koletzki has cited his hometown as a main point of reference and inspiration throughout his career. His last two albums are said to be 'wholehearted tributes' to the German capital and its importance in the current climate of electronic music. The label's aesthetic - right down to the cover art is testament to this - featuring photos of local landmarks and graffiti adorning his fair city. There are little to no corners in the city that haven't brought a spark of inspiration into the mix and the eighth instalment of the Schneeweiss (English translation 'white snow') compilation series, is said to be a tribute to the many aspects or 'particles' consolidated as a series of carefully curated tracks. There's so many highlights on here and we're only going to name a few, but they're not limited to: hometown hero and one time Terranova member Rampa's brooding dance floor drama on "Fluke", Frankey & Sandrino bridging the gap between tech-house and nu-disco ever so gracefully again on "Solaris", Cologne's finest Andhim lend their deft hand on a remix of Leipzig figurehead Matthias Tanzmann's "Coffee Clouds" and the man from Mannheim Ray Okpara who's still going: his track "Satin Curtain" getting a smooth remix by the legendary Kevin Yost.

Aside from an early EP for Jamie Jones' Hot Creations, Mark Foster's Solardo project has helped the Relief label go through a bit of a revival period, stepping out of the underground and back into the mainstream. For reference, Relief Records is one of Chicago's most important house music labels, and should be treated with the upmost respect. Thankfully, Solardo knows this and, while this may still not live up to the original material from the likes of Glenn Underground and co, it most certainly provides some refreshing rave vibes! "Fall Down" is a percussion-heavy banger guided by a low-cut acid bass and those infamous hardcore stabs we all instantly recognise; the Carlo Lio remix builds and builds until its drop unleashes a blockade of steady tech-house beats for the modern ear. Then big don MK requires the tune with his inimitable touch, flexing that groove out into a sexy, garage-leaning banger.

K producer James Denney has appeared on esteemed labels such as Relief, Heidi Presents The Jackathon and Hot Creations in only a short amount of time. This will however be his second offering on Damian Lazarus' Crosstown Rebels: where he teams up with veteran UK producer D.Ramirez. We are pretty sure he still rocks a pretty fabulous hair-do, too! They team up on the dark dancefloor drama of "Stranger Things" which calls to mind the minimal sound of the mid noughties, in particular Konrad Black or Mathew Jonson. Bristolian producer and Skeleton boss Dubspeeka provides a respectful remix which injects more mood and atmosphere into proceedings and backs that epic spoken word performance really well. Second original offering entitled "Afraid" is a dark electro house stomper that reaches near tribal moments and that razor sharp bassline.

The eleventh edition of Diynamic Music's Four To The Floor series has arrived. Their very own various artists series is always comprised of four dancefloor oriented tracks, that have all been heavily road tested and certified by label boss Solomun on his countless gigs throughout the globe. Beginning with the brooding dancefloor drama of Par-T-One's "I'm So Crazy" (Armonica remix) with its entrancing and tunnelling aesthetic that reaches near tribal moments, plus that Dennis Parker sample never gets old! Spanish producer German Brigante serves up the slinky tech house groove of "Mango", Greek duo Alexandros Djkevingr and Greg Ignatovich (Vagabond) serve up the nefarious afterhours techno of "Choose Life" and Turkey's Serhan Guney serves up the slow burning progressive house thriller "Journey Of The Mind".

Berlin powerhouse Katermukke welcome Haiku 575 with this trippy four tracker. The Barcelona based duo are composed of M. Abbatangelo (label manager of This And That Lab with Davide Squillace) and Cipy - a veteran producer and long time member of the Get Physical and Kinsdisch family. After more than a decade of friendship, they decided to go into the studio together to pursue a common musical vision. Beginning with the brooding and tunnelling dancefloor drama of "An Old Silent Pond", the darkly evocative journey track "A Frog Jumps into the Pond" (which features KnowKontrol's haunting vocals) takes you further into the void. Finally the hazy and hypnotic tech house of "Canto De Fuego Y Flores" allows the listener to relax and drift deep - this one is perfect for the early evening of the afterhours alike - and no wonder it's on Kater Blau's label then!

Rising star Tim Engelhardt released Moments Of Truth on esteemed Hamburg imprint Poker Flat earlier in 2017 and here come some awesome remixes by some worthy label affiliates. Objektivity's Andre Hommen delivers a soulful and emotive rendition of "Kissing Your Eyes" which reaches near tribal moments. "Eyes Closed" (feat Forrest) goes deeper to show something more sonically evocative - but we wouldn't have expected anything less from virtuoso Tim Green on the remix. Finally, Italian duo Fideles who are fresh off releases for hot labels such as Afterlife and Exit Strategy deliver some hypnotic and futuristic dancefloor drama on their remix of "Beyond Time" which could have equally been at home on tastemaker label Innervisions: and it is exactly the kind of track that Dixon or Ame themselves would drop during one of their epic sets.

Well consider us surprised to say the least: we'd have never of thought that the acid house anthem "Theme From S'Express" would get a re-release on Jamie Jones' Hot Creations powerhouse - not to mention some absolutely killer remixes. Originally released in 1989 and produced by the legendary Mark Moore (in collaboration with Pascal Gabriel) from their debut studio album, Original Soundtrack. It peaked at No. 1 in the UK Singles Chart in April 1988 for two weeks and is considered as one of the earliest electronic music songs to incorporate sampling. The remixes come courtesy of Greek tech house hero Detlef - whose version is respectful to the original, but gives it an adequately modern reshape and works that 303 acid darn well. Lauer and Gerd Janson's Tuff City Kids remix keeps it in the late '80s realm, like they always do so well. It incorporates some steel drum presets and a hot Juno bassline.

Hot Creations boss Jamie Jones manages to find time for another release, in between his Ibiza residency and travelling the globe as one of modern house music's most popular DJs. His latest offering brings everything you'd expect from the Welshman and nothing less. These four Summery and pop-inflected tech house cuts are hot material on their own and make a cohesive EP. Starting off with the anthemic "Sound Of Music" covering jungle legend Nookie's track of the same name and with pop sensation Katy B on vocals. The rolling peak time groove "Kooky Chords" is absolutely the sound of not only 'The Island' but Jones' label and will bang the party just as much as recent offerings by wAFF or Phil Kieran. Then there's a bouncy and sleazy early evening jam in the form of "Positive Pressure" featuring American Kevin Knapp and the druggy/minimal afterhours DJ tool "Parallel Universe".

After a busy eighteen months promoting his debut album 'Catch Me If You Can'; which received accolades from both Mixmag and DJ Mag, Essex's Max Chapman brings us his La Fiesta EP. Since his arrival on the scene six years ago, Chapman has released on a who's who of labels including VIVa, Toolroom and Elrow. With "La Fiesta", Chapman has encompassed the essence of The White Isle. He claims that his tracks come together organically only after a few hours of 'playing around' in the studio, but this track came from a very clear intention of how he wanted it to sound. After a night out at Ibiza institution Amnesia; where he became hypnotised by the sweltering latin rhythms, he went straight home and worked on the track immediately: and here's the result. The EP comes with some great remixes by the versatile Luca Cazal and house veteran Todd Terry.

Greek tech house hero Mihalis Safras has sure had quite the rise to the top. Starting out modestly with releases on Trapez, Great Stuff and Saved while pumping out the goods on his now esteemed institution Material Series: he's now one of the biggest names in the scene. A consistent headliner at The White Isle's biggest parties and recipient of numerous industry awards. The now London based producer serves up a smashing release for fellow London big wigs Hot Creations. "Raygun Rave" sees Jamie Jones & Lee Foss' label venture further from pop inflected house sounds into more hard hitting dancefloor artillery. With its rolling bassline, swing fuelled rhythm and druggy elements: this absolutely has the peak time in mind. "One Stop To Babel" is more more funky and summery: a versatile weapon to play day or night but the remix up next by Vakant boss Mathias Kaden is much more powerful and moody.

Hot Creations gear up to drop the eagerly anticipated new release by Rowan Jones aka Route 94. Echoing the excitement that surrounded his number one hit "My Love" which propelled him to stardom in 2014, the release has been in serious demand for months. Title track "House & Pressure" contains the vocals from Joey Negro's classic "Ride the Storm" featuring Linda Clifford. The dominant female vocal on the track, combined with the force of the drum machines makes for quite a powerful production. The affectionately titled "Crazy Bitch" has more of a big room sound and incorporates ghetto house elements. "Dark Keyless" is the complete opposite, creating a groove that aims to grab the crowd and let them loose. With a wealth of new material still on the way and a hectic touring schedule in place, it's clear this is only the start for the young artist.

Matthew Dear lands on Hot Creations under his notorious Audion moniker. At the top of his game for over a decade, the talented artist has also released successful albums under his original name and performed with a live band; opening arenas for Depeche Mode, Interpol and more. In true Audion style, "Starfucker" takes a series of unexpected turns and the groove propelled track is made to shake up big rooms. Audion's second original "Need Your Loving" is equally intoxicating, with subtle vocals and driving drums. Over twenty years into his career and Ian Pooley is still releasing on the biggest and cutting edge labels, with recent appearances on Innervisions, Ovum and Tsuba. He packs the swing into his remix and adds his signature style with a touch of class. The Martinez Brothers remix is bursting with energy and demonstrates the duo's understanding for how to work the main room.
